A historic moment for the Journal of Epidemiology and Health Services (RESS) and the Brazilian Journal of Epidemiology (RBE).
On May 19th and 20th, the RESS team, composed of Executive Editor Fátima Sonally; Editor-in-Chief Cynthia Braga; Scientific Editor Bárbara Reis; Executive Secretary Dalila Gonzaga, and technicians from the Ministry of Health, were at the headquarters of the Brazilian Journal of Epidemiology (RBE), located at the Faculty of Public Health of the University of São Paulo (FSP/USP), holding a meeting to align and agree on joint activities for the celebration of technical cooperation between RESS and RBE, for the period of 2022-2023.
From RBE, the following scientific editors participated in the meeting: Dr. Márcia Furquim, Moisés Goldbaum, and Cássia Buchalla; and Thiago Barreto, Executive Secretary of ABRASCO.
The technical cooperation between both journals aims to strengthen Health Surveillance within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), especially in disseminating scientific knowledge about epidemiological actions in healthcare services.
In addition to the topics discussed, strategies for strengthening publishing policy in the country were also raised.
