Last week, the St. Paul Plaza Hotel in Brasília hosted the pre-RACE and RACE, the Annual Meeting of the Editorial Committee of Epidemiology and Health Services: SUS Journal (RESS). The event brought together the editorial board in person, with remote participation for those who were unable to travel.
The pre-RACE meeting, held on December 4th, focused on discussing, reviewing, and improving the journal’s processes. Associate editors and some members of the editorial production team participated in this session. The meeting provided a space for productive debates and necessary adjustments for the efficient operation of RESS.
The following day, December 5th, the RACE meeting took place, bringing together the entire editorial board. During the meeting, data and changes that had occurred throughout the year in RESS were presented. The session was also marked by in-depth discussions aimed at further improving the journal’s processes, ensuring the quality and efficiency of scientific publications for the SUS (Brazilian Unified Health System).
The annual meeting proved essential for aligning and strengthening editorial strategies, reaffirming RESS’s commitment to excellence in disseminating scientific information on public health in Brazil.
