According to the WHO, between 5% and 18% of childbirths are premature, this being one of the main causes of neonatal mortality, besides causing high costs for health systems. The study analyzed the trend of the event, in Brazil, from 2020 to 2021, a period that corresponded to the COVID-19 pandemic, in relation to the previous period, from 2011 to 2019.
Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in Brazil, where there was an increase in mortality from this cause between 1980 and 2018. In Brazil, the female population still does not undergo systematic breast cancer screening. This study analyzed breast cancer monitoring indicators for the period 2018-2019.
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. Globally, it affects millions of people and is a leading cause of death. In Brazil, the disease is on the rise and there is a lack of training and information on the subject. This study analyzes trends in Alzheimer mortality in Brazil.
